Whistleblowing Client
I first met my client in 2021 for a Fixed Fee Consultation. At our first meeting my client had been absent from work due to work-related stress. The stress was caused because of the concerns he had with health and safety at work, or the lack thereof. Whilst my client was absent from work, his employer also attempted to demote him. I assisted my client with preparing a Formal Grievance and I also asked what outcome he would like to achieve. He did not wish to return and so we discussed putting forward an offer of settlement. In essence, my client would leave his employment and waive his employment law claims in return for a financial settlement. This was the outcome we achieved and my client has kindly left me the following review:-

Unfair Dismissal Client
I met my Unfair Dismissal client this year for a Fixed Fee Consultation. I was shocked to hear he had been suspended from work, pending disciplinary action since August 2021 and in January 2022 his employment was terminated on the grounds of gross misconduct. I asked my client to explain the disciplinary allegations upheld against him and when he did, it was clear his dismissal was unfair. We therefore set to work preparing a disciplinary appeal statement and a subject access request to gather more information. Whilst my client was prepared to be reinstated on his appeal, he did confirm that for the right financial settlement he would accept. I was thrilled to achieve over six months’ gross salary for my client, together with an agreed reference. He has since left me the following review:-
