On 14 October 2020, I wrote a blog about my client who had been unfairly dismissed and who had pursued an Unfair Dismissal Claim in the Employment Tribunal. Since then, she has very kindly left me feedback on how she found my help and assistance.
Client Story
At the end of 2019, I met with my client after her employer had offered her a Settlement Agreement. The Termination Payment, for her to simply leave her employment of seven years, was only her notice pay. I advised that she was entitled to this sum in any event unless her employment terminated due to Gross Misconduct. She therefore rejected the Settlement Agreement and in response, her employer commenced a disciplinary investigation. In total, my client was on full pay suspension for six months before being dismissed. I supported and advised my client throughout this process and latterly, submitted her claim to the Employment Tribunal.
Last month we achieved a fantastic settlement for her and here is what she had to say about the advice she received from me:-
“Thank you so much, I know you have done your job to the best of your ability, but for me you have done so much more, you believed in me from the start, you listened to me when I was angry, upset and just waffling!! You made me believe in myself when it felt like everyone else was knocking me down, this was never about how much but about what was right. Thank you for all you have done.”
