Settlement Agreement Client
This was a difficult matter. My client had agreed an exit package with his employer. However, when we received the Settlement Agreement to formalise the terms of that exit package, it was not as they had agreed. This was a frustrating situation as the solicitors on the other side were not employment specialists. However, we got there in the end! I was very grateful for my client’s comments:
She explained clearly my options, clarified some incorrect information from the other side solicitor and guided me through the whole process easily. The costs were outlined up front and any changes were explained to me.
Bullying and Harassment Client
My client came to see me after years of bullying and harassment from his employer. We spent a great deal of time at our Fixed Fee Consultation discussing everything that had happened and identifying a way forward which would protect him in the future. Sally listened to my story and asked sensitive questions in a way which made it ok to answer. She pushed me to be open and honest and made me feel like it was ok to be the victim that I actually was. She explained the behaviour so that I could understand how bad it was, and then explained clearly how I could respond. She then gave me advice about how to move forward. The advice resulted in a satisfactory outcome. However, Sally also explained a back-up plan should the steps I took result in a negative outcome. This gave me the confidence to do what was required. Without Sally’s advice, I am fairly certain I would have handled the situation badly and potentially made it worse, or left it to continue.
