I was recently instructed by a client who had been offered a Settlement Agreement by their employer. Please read on to see how I helped my client with their Settlement Agreement and the 5 Star Review they gave.
My Client’s Settlement Agreement
My client contacted Lincs Law Employment Solicitors because they had been offered a Settlement Agreement by their employer.
A Settlement Agreement is a legally binding contract between you and your employer. A Settlement Agreement must be in writing and, importantly, you must enter it voluntarily. This means you cannot be forced or made to sign the Settlement Agreement.

It is a legal requirement that an employee must take independent legal advice before they sign a Settlement Agreement. At Lincs Law, all our solicitors are Specialist Employment Solicitor, and we offer fixed fee Settlement Agreement appointments.
During our appointment I took a comprehensive background from my client concerning their employment and the circumstances that led to the Settlement Agreement been offered. I then went through the Settlement Agreement with them and explained what every clause meant. Finally, I set out what options my client had moving forward. After our appointment, I confirmed all this advice in a detailed written letter.
Following our appointment, my client was comfortable to accept the Settlement Agreement and I then liaised directly with their employer to ensure the signing formalities were complied with.
My Client’s Review
I was incredibly grateful and humbled to receive the following wonderful review from my client.
“I had a settlement agreement to go through with a solicitor and the service I received from Jasmine and the team at Lincs Law was excellent, I got an appointment at short notice, and everything was gone through carefully and she took my views into consideration.
After everything was decided the signed documents were returned the same day and processed exactly as she said they would be.”
