I have recently assisted a client who had been unfairly dismissed. With my assistance, my client was able to achieve a 5-figure settlement. Please read on for further information on how I help my client and the 5-star review they gave.
Initial Contact
My client first contacted me under our free telephone enquiry service. They explained they had been suddenly and arbitrarily dismissed. They were, understandably, very distressed about how they had been treated and how this would impact them personally and professionally. During this free telephone enquiry, I provided my client with initial guidance about a claim for Unfair Dismissal.
Fixed Fee Consultation
Following the free telephone enquiry, my client booked in for a Fixed Fee Consultation. This appointment was at a fixed cost, but for an unlimited duration. During this Consultation I undertook a full assessment of my client’s situation. Specifically: –
- I took a full and comprehensive background of their situation and reviewed the relevant documentation;
- I discussed and identified their primary objectives.
- I discussed the Employment Tribunal claims of Unfair Dismissal. This allowed my client to understand the strength of their position;
- I provide an estimate of the value of their claims;
- I discussed relevant time limits that were applicable to their claims;
- I identified and advised the next steps they would need to take.
- I provided my client with the different funding options that were available if they required my further assistance.
I was able to confidentially advise my client they would have an excellent claim of Unfair Dismissal at the Employment Tribunal. My assessment and advice were confirmed in a comprehensive written letter and sent to my client within 3 working days of our Fixed Fee Consultation.
Further Assistance
After careful consideration, my client decided to pursue a claim of Unfair Dismissal at the Employment Tribunal and instructed me to represent them throughout their claim. After reviewing the funding options I had set out during the Fixed Fee Consultation, they decided to instruct me under a Conditional Fee Arrangement.

ACAS Early Conciliation
The first stage of an Employment Tribunal claim is to go through a process called ACAS Early Conciliation. On behalf of my client, I initiated ACAS Early Conciliation and liaised with our appointed Conciliator. My client’s primary objective was to be properly compensated for the loss of income they had suffered because of their unfair dismissal. To achieve their objective, I set out my client’s strong position regarding their claim to our Conciliator and started the process of negotiating an offer of settlement.
I kept my client regularly updated in respect of the settlement negotiations and took full instructions before putting forward any revised offer.
When we did achieve a fantastic settlement (discussed more below), I drafted the necessary COT3 Agreement, went through those terms with my client and liaised with all parties to ensure the Agreement was properly signed and concluded as a legally binding Agreement.
The Outcome
I was delighted that we were able to achieve a fantastic offer of settlement which included a 5-figure compensatory award, an agreed reference, and contribution to legal fees.
My client kindly provided the following 5-star review of my legal advice and support:
“Jasmine led my case for unfair dismissal. She showed an absolute confidence and full competence leading my case to success. She did everything in a good timely fashion and provided her support every step of the way.
Jasmine was always there for me helping with her legal knowledge reinforced by experience as well as understanding the emotional part of the matter.
At times I had doubts about the right thing to do and Jasmine would explain to me all my options listing the realistic outcomes.
If you need someone experienced and knowledgeable to help you with legal advice reducing your stress of uncertainty, look no further. Jasmine has it covered.”
