I have just successfully concluded a complex claim for disability discrimination and constructive dismissal. Read on to see how I helped my client…
My Client’s Story
My client had worked for their employer for a very long time, holding an exemplary disciplinary and performance record. Unfortunately, following a period of ill health, they were targeted with what felt like discriminatory conduct which was related to their protected characteristic of disability.
Despite seeking to resolve the situation through the employer’s grievance procedure, my client’s complaints were largely unresolved. In fact, the employer provided misleading and contradictory evidence in response to the grievance which further undermined the employment relationship. My client saw no way of returning to work in these circumstances.
Considering the above, I was instructed to enter without prejudice discussions with the employer to secure a mutually agreed (and beneficial) exit for my client. Within a fairly short period of time, a deal was brokered which provided my client with a significant settlement, enabling them to move forward and pursue fresh opportunities.
Feedback from Client
My client was over the moon and provided me with the following feedback, along with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and thank you card.
“Thank you so much for all your help, support, and guidance – truly appreciated…I’m so pleased I met you and had you on my side. I will be making recommendations without a doubt!!!”
