My Client’s Story
My client had been in dispute with his employer regarding his pay. My client was asked by his employer to take a pay cut due to the Coronavirus pandemic. At the time, my client understood there was uncertainty for the business and consented to the pay cut on a temporary basis. He trusted the comments his employers were making about the need to reduce overheads and salary costs to safeguard the business in the long term.
However, after a few months it became clear that the Company were not suffering as anticipated. Further, during the period where he was taking a pay cut to assist the Company cashflow, shareholders were paid a dividend.
In the circumstances, my client sought advice as to how to object to further and future pay reductions. Also, as to the steps he needed to take to recover the pay he had lost. I was delighted to help.
Given the amounts involved, and as my client did not have Legal Expenses Insurance, it was not economical for me to provide full representation. However, I was able to give my client all the assistance he needed in a Fixed Fee Consultation being a much more sensible and proportionate way for my client to get the help he needed.
