How Can Lincs Law Help You?
The first stage of assistance at Lincs Law is a free, initial, no obligation telephone call. During this call, we will briefly discuss your concerns, provide some initial guidance and discuss any further assistance you may need.
Once you have had the free telephone call, the next stage is to book in for either a Fixed Fee Consultation or Settlement Agreement appointment, depending on your circumstances.
Fixed Fee Consultations
A Fixed Fee Consultation is your choice of a telephone, face to face or video appointment of unlimited duration (so no need to worry about how long the appointment takes) where a full assessment of your situation will be undertaken by a specialist employment solicitor. During the Fixed Fee Consultation we will:-
- Go through the full background of your situation and review relevant documentation (please note, we operate a fair use policy);
- Discuss and identify your objectives – what do you want to achieve?
- Discuss any Employment Tribunal claims you may have so you know the strength of your position;
- Provide an estimate of the value of your claims;
- Discuss any relevant time limits you need to be aware of;
- Identify and advise on the next steps you should take to put you in the best possible position;
- Discuss the funding options available to you if you require our assistance going forward. (More information about possible funding is available on our website at https://lincslaw.co.uk/fees/employees/ ); and,
- After the Fixed Fee Consultation, we will confirm our advice in full and in writing, so you have a comprehensive record of our discussions.
Settlement Agreement Appointment
If your employer offers you a Settlement Agreement, we provide fixed fee advice for review the Settlement Agreement with you. The Settlement Agreement Fixed Fee includes your choice of a telephone, video or face to face appointment of unlimited duration where your Employment Solicitor will:-
- discuss the circumstances of your situation;
- advise you in respect of your Settlement Agreement;
- draw to your attention any potential Employment Tribunal claims being settled; and,
- in the event you choose not to sign the Settlement Agreement, provide an estimate of fees for any additional work. This will include a discussion of possible funding options (More information about possible funding is available on our website at https://lincslaw.co.uk/fees/settlement-agreements/ );
- alternatively, if you do decide to sign the Settlement Agreement, arrange for the return of your signed document to your employer; and,
- confirm their advice in full and in writing so you have a comprehensive record of your discussions
We put no time limit on your appointment as we understand the decision to sign a Settlement Agreement is important and has potentially life changing consequences. Put simply, we are happy for your appointment to take as long as you need so that you can make an informed decision.
