I am thrilled to have received lovely comments from a recent client of mine. I helped her with an internal disciplinary at work and also issues relating to discrimination. Read on to learn more.
My Client’s Story
When I met with my client she explained she had been invited to attend a disciplinary hearing. The allegations were unclear and she went on to explain that she had been experiencing difficulties with her Line Manager for a considerable amount of time. My client explained she suffered from a disability which caused her to take regular rest breaks, however, every time she did her Line Manager would make unpleasant comments. I identified her Line Manager’s behaviour as discriminatory. My client explained to me that she loved her job and so her key objective was to secure her employment and raise the issues with her Line Manager.
I was instructed to submit a Disciplinary Statement and a Formal Grievance on my client’s behalf. The response from her employer was to halt the disciplinary procedure and investigate her Formal Grievance. Ultimately, my client’s disciplinary proceeded no further, mediation was offered between herself and her Line Manager together with my client having a new Line Manager appointed for her to report to. She was very happy with the outcome.
