I have recently advised a client on a Settlement Agreement they had received from their employer. Last week I received a lovely email thanking me for my help. Read on to learn more.
My Client’s Story
My client had worked for their employer for a number of years but over the last few months relations had broken down and the Company had approached my client with a view to terminating his employment through a Settlement Agreement. When I first met my client, he explained to me that he had been successful in being offered a new role with a different Company and in light of the significant Termination Payments being offered, a swift and speedy resolution was required to ensure the Settlement Agreement was signed off without any clichés.
We therefore scheduled an appointment immediately so that I could advise him on the terms of his Settlement Agreement. The terms were very favourably but there remained a few amendments which needed to be made. My client instructed me to seek those amendments and within two days the Settlement Agreement was signed by both parties; becoming legally binding.
Following my advice, my client sent to me a lovely email thanking me for my legal assistance;
“I just wanted to say thank you for all your help. It was nice after the months I’ve had to feel like someone was on my side. Thank you so much.”
