I have just concluded an Unfair Dismissal and Discrimination claim for a client which resulted in a lovely 5 Star Review. Read on to see how I helped …
My Client’s Story
My client got in touch through our free telephone consultation service. During their call it was clear the situation was complicated and would require a detailed review of the paperwork. As such, my client booked in for what we term a Fixed Fee Consultation. More information about Fixed Fee Consultations can be viewed at – https://lincslaw.co.uk/fees/employees/.
During the Fixed Fee Consultation, I discovered my client had been dismissed by reason of alleged Gross Misconduct, they had also been subjected to acts of discrimination contrary to the Equality Act 2010. I advised my client on their potential claims, the value of those claims, the immediate next steps that needed to be taken, and we fully reviewed all the funding options together.
During the consultation, my client was able to confirm that they had the benefit of legal expenses insurance, see https://lincslaw.co.uk/fees/employees/ for more information. As such, I was instructed to contact my client’s insurer to find out if they were prepared to fund the potential claims I had identified.
The legal expenses insurer carried out their own assessment of my client’s claim and confirmed they were prepared to fund the matter in the Employment Tribunal. This meant that my client could confidently move forward with their matter with my assistance being funded by their insurer.
In light of the above, my client’s claims were lodged in the Employment Tribunal. Eventually, after a prolonged litigation process, a settlement package was negotiated on behalf of my client. I was lucky enough to receive the following 5 Star Review.
5 Star Review
“I cannot recommend Sophie and team more highly. My case was very tricky and complicated, Sophie’s advice and support throughout was incredibly professional, diligent and through her attention to detail it assisted me greatly to reconcile with what had happened but also achieve a favourable outcome”.
