My client first contacted me through our free telephone enquiry service. During this 30-minute free enquiry, they explained they had been subjected to a disciplinary investigation, which was, understandably, causing them stress and anxiety.
Unfortunately, they were facing extremely serious allegations which they strongly denied. They were advised these allegations could result in a sanction of final written warning or dismissal. During the free enquiry service, I was able to give some preliminary guidance on the process ahead of them.

This was a detailed, unlimited duration appointment whereby I took their detailed instructions on the allegations and process so far, reviewed the relevant paperwork and provided a clear and detailed assessment of their position. Following this appointment, my client instructed me to assist them in preparing for their Disciplinary Hearing. In this regard, I reviewed the investigation pack, witness statements, meeting minutes and the employer’s relevant policies. I then prepared a detailed Disciplinary Statement which set out my client’s representations, highlighted their own evidence, and raised procedural issues committed by the employer.
Whilst I was not able to attend the Disciplinary Hearing with them, I provided support and assist by phone and email before and after the Hearing.
Through careful and detailed work, my client did not receive the threatened sanctions of final written warning or dismissal. They can now look to put this awful situation behind them and move on with their employment and future.
