Holiday pay “Stop Press”
The Court of Appeal has this week clarified the position of holiday pay for people working part-time or irregular hours. Read on for more information.
In the case of Harpur Trust v Brazel, the Court of Appeal ruled that permanent workers who only work part of the year (such as teachers) should have their holiday pay calculated at their normal weekly rate or using their average earnings over a 12 week period if their pay is irregular.
