At Lincs Law Employment Solicitors, we understand that for most people, instructing an employment lawyer or solicitor is not an everyday occurrence. It can be daunting taking that first step to ask for help, especially if your job is at risk or if you are struggling with a situation at work.
Worrying about how to get employment law advice and help (and, of course, what it might cost) just adds to the anxiety. That’s why we start our relationship with all our clients with a free enquiry call. To discuss your work problem with an experienced employment law specialist call us 01522 440512 or use the online chat we’ll be happy to help.
What Will Happen During My Free Employment Law Enquiry Call?
We will start off by asking you a few basic questions about your situation including your name, your job title, your employer and then details about your employment problem. We should be able to give you some guidance and point you in the right direction to go forward. We may suggest some next steps and/or provide a guide or link to information that may help you. We will also let you know whether you should take your matter further, particularly whether a Fixed Fee Consultation would be helpful for you.
As the name suggests, your free enquiry call is free, and you will not be charged to speak to one of our very experienced employment specialists. If this is all the help you need, then that is absolutely fine. We’re just happy to help.
Employment Law Advice: Fixed Fee Consultation
To explain, a Fixed Fee Consultation is fully comprehensive, bespoke, consideration and assessment of your personal employment situation. It starts with your choice of a telephone, face to face or video appointment of up to 90 minutes with the employment law solicitor of your preference. During the appointment, your employment law specialist will:-
- Go through the full background of your situation and review up to 10 items of relevant documentation (By way of example, a document could be a contract of employment, a letter, an email, a report (without appendices), a statement, an Employment Tribunal Claim Form etc);
- Discuss and identify your objectives – what do you want to achieve?
- Identify any Employment Tribunal claims you may have so you know the strength of your position;
- Provide an overview estimate of the value of your claims;
- Discuss any relevant time limits you need to be aware of;
- Identify and advise on the next steps you should take to put you in the best possible position;
- Discuss the funding options available to you if we are able to assist going forward. (More information about possible funding options is available on our website at https://lincslaw.co.uk/fees/employees/ ); and,
- After the Fixed Fee Consultation, we will confirm our advice in full and in writing, so you have a comprehensive record of our discussions.
You are under no obligation to instruct us to undertake any further work following the Fixed Fee Consultation. If the information provided is all the help you need, that is no problem. If we are able to offer further assistance and/or representation, funding options will be discussed with you, and you will be able to consider whether you wish to instruct us.
The cost of your Fixed Fee Consultation depends upon which of our solicitors you would like to instruct. All our solicitors are specialist employment solicitors and would be delighted to help you. Information about our solicitors and the costs of a Fixed Fee Consultation is available on our website at https://lincslaw.co.uk/fees/employees/
Again, if a Fixed Fee Consultation is all the help you need, then that is no problem. If you require assistance at a disciplinary or grievance meeting, or representation at the Employment Tribunal we will go through your funding options. Depending upon your situation, we could be utilising a Legal Expenses Policy, we could agree a price for a particular piece of work, we could be using a “no win, no fee” agreement or a “success fee” agreement. Whatever the way forward, you are in control.
