Coronavirus: Update on Furlough
Chancellor Rishi Sunak today announced that the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme will be extended by four months to the end of October.
Employees will continue to receive 80% of their monthly wage up to £2,500.
Employers will be asked to start sharing the cost of the scheme from August.
From August to October, employers will also be able to bring furloughed employees back part time.
Further details about changes to the scheme are expected at the end of May.
