On Monday 7th September 2015, LincsLaw Employment Law Solicitors opened our doors to welcome clients with employment law and workplace problems. Read on to find out how we helped. We weren’t sure what to expect. We had a phone, a desk and a kettle but, more importantly, a real desire to help people. We understood what problems at work can do to someone’s confidence, their health and the impact that employment issues can have on their families. We believed people wanted and needed sensible and constructive employment law advice. Our aim was to ensure our clients got the help they needed without huge legal bills and disproportionate costs. In short, we thought Lincoln was ready for a solicitors’ firm specialising in employment law.
So What Happened?
Over the last three years we have been delighted to help many lovely people. We have:-
- Negotiated, cajoled, threatened, charmed and litigated to get over £3,218,514 in compensation for our clients;
- Pursued claims for our clients at the Employment Tribunal;
- Ensured disciplinary proceedings against our clients were withdrawn;
- Renegotiated Settlement Agreements to get our clients a better deal;
- Had dismissed clients reinstated to their employment on appeal;
- Supported our clients through disciplinary processes;
- Ensured disabled clients got the reasonable adjustments they needed at work; and,
- Defended our employer clients against spurious and malicious claims.
The above are all wonderful outcomes, but what we really enjoy is seeing how our clients regain their confidence in themselves and in their futures.
So What’s Next?
We know that people still need help with their employment problems and we’ve made a few changes to ensure they get the assistance they need. We’ve appointed the excellent Sophie Goodwill as a Director and Specialist Employment Solicitor. Sophie’s client care is second to none as can be seen from the wonderful feedback and client comments she receives.
We’ve also appointed our newest member of the team, the very experienced Kathryn Bolton as a Specialist Employment Law Solicitor. Although Kathryn is new to our team, she does have over 11 years’ post qualification experience helping clients with employment law and workplace problems.
